Subject: CRTA Legislative Information Line

Today the State Senate confirmed Kathleen Brugger and Elizabeth Rogers to
the State Teachers' Retirement Board. The vote was 34-0. The only
appointee who was not approved was Mr. David Crane, who was opposed by
CRTA and others.  Mr. Crane was not confirmed by the Senate Rules
Committee. This means the Teachers' Retirement Board has only one vacancy
that Governor Schwarzenegger needs to fill.
